Overseas health claiming with HICAPS

Having partnered with select health funds*, HICAPS makes it easy to process health care claims for overseas workers, students and visitors.

How to process overseas visitor claims

If your patient has either overseas visitor health cover or overseas student health cover, you can process a claim by following these simple steps:

  1. After consultation swipe the patient’s private health insurance card through the HICAPS terminal.
  2. Enter the patient’s claim details into the HICAPS terminal or PMS.
  3. Once authorised, the patient can then pay the gap amount (if there is any).
  4. Like all claims with HICAPS, we’ll deposit a consolidated settlement within one to two business days.
