Before your upgrade – software updates
· Please ensure that your practice is using the latest Dental4Windows software Build 5393 or higher.
· To confirm and/or update your software please open Dental4Windows and from the navigation bar select Help > Check for Updates
o N.B we recommend upgrading outside of business hours to avoid service interruption.
After your upgrade – change / find terminals
· Your new Trinity terminal will have a new terminal number so may need to be configured in your Practice Management System.
· To update your terminal number please open Dental4Windows and from the navigation bar select Go To > HICAPS Terminal Selection - then select your new terminal number and save changes.
· If this option is not available, please open Dental4Windows and from the navigation bar select Location Management > General > Groups > Paths & Links > Method used for HICAPS terminal Selection - change to User Selection - then complete the above steps.
After your upgrade – other
· If you are running a firewall on your computer, you may need to open ports through the firewall to allow the 2 programs (your PMS Software and HICAPS Connect) to talk to each other. for more information on this please consult our support documentation:
