HICAPS terminals issue - Update 9am Thursday 2nd September, 2010
Fully enabled HICAPS terminals for processing health insurance and Medicare rebates have been distributed to almost all of our affected customers.
If you have not received your replacement HICAPS terminal, or if you are experiencing difficulty with your terminal (blank screen and terminal constantly beeping) please contact us at hicaps@hicaps.com.au with your Terminal Number, Merchant ID and Contact Details.
If your HICAPS terminal is functioning: Please DO NOT turn it off under any circumstances, as this may still cause your terminal to fail and it may not
restart.
Please also ensure there is sufficient paper in the terminal for the printing of overnight reports before you leave the practice. Running out of paper may force you to restart the terminal and in turn cause it to stop working.
Please ensure all your employees are aware of both of these situations by placing an alert message close by where it will be easily seen.
